Attorney O’Keefe has been practicing in the Lansing area since 2003 and has years of valuable courtroom experience. He began his career as an assistant prosecutor in Kent County, quickly earning a reputation as a talented trial attorney. After four years, he became an assistant prosecutor in the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office, and became known as one of the best trial lawyers in the state.

In 2013, he then made a career change and founded his own criminal defense law firm in Lansing. Since then, clients have turned to him for representation because of his growing reputation as a skilled lawyer who gets favorable results. In just a few years, he has compiled numerous not guilty verdicts and dismissals.

Attorney O’Keefe is a board-certified civil trial specialist through the National Board of Trial Advocacy. This certification is only obtained after successfully completing a rigorous application process, expanding legal knowledge through continued education and obtaining impeccable judicial and peer references.

He is also a contributing author. Attorney O’Keefe wrote the commentary to Michigan’s Model Jury Instructions for the Institute for Continuing Legal Education. In 2013, he received the Michigan State Police First District Commendation for Excellence in Prosecutorial Service.
